So I haven't been able to keep up with the February Purge Challenge due to snow days. With all the snow in my area I have been stuck at work or at my moms. Today is my day off so I decided to take charge of my house and tame the mess. I have organized all the closets, finished all the laundry, sorted all the boxes of clothes for the boys that are out of season or not the right size. I am about to make dinner and clean out the pantry. Then, tomorrow, is Eythan's late birthday party. Poor kid between the flu hitting our family and all these snow days his party is one month late.

First of all I have to express my love for Wonder Hangers. They are so amazing. I had to try them. Most things I see on TV and have tried were the biggest let downs EVER, but not Wonder Hangers. These space saving hangers are also life savers! We have very little storage space in our house, especially in our closet. As a matter of fact our second attic is in our closet and because of the tight space we have not been able to use the attic. We can now access it and plan on using it as a storage "room" for stockpile/couponing items! I could not afford to spend any money on them at the time, so to Swagbucks I went! That's right I just used my amazon gift cards and bought 20 Wonder Hangers. I reordered using Swagbuck and they should arrive this week. YAY! I am so excited.
1. Wonder Hangers are a must!
2. Swagbucks is fricking amazing!
3. Earn many many swagbucks

Okay, so I am posting this late, but had a hot date with my hubby last night and couldn't get on here. After going through the never ending mountain of clothes that had fallen in the floor, the box of coupons that expired in August (yes, I am horrible because I love my coupons), the random sentimental crap that was in there for no reason. I managed to make my closet pretty and managed to get 2 boxes yard sale stuff and 1 trash bags full of things out of my closets. It is now usable! I still am going to be looking into more organizing ideas.
This week was an epic fail. I worked 16 hours most days this week due to the snow storm keeping staff from coming in, not to mention the flu and stomach flu effected the ones who could come in. So I didn't get my work outs in like I should have. I did do two 8-hour sessions of deep cleaning the house and I've said it before and will say it again. if MyFitnessPal counts it, it is a workout. I managed to lose half of a pound. This week a new habit will begin which is eat more fresh fruits and veggies.

It has been no secret that I am not Susie Homemaker. Today is the day that my homemaking skills have surfaced and I am LOVING it! So David and I started a complete overhaul on the house today. We started with basic picking up and cleaning and began the process of decluttering and organizing. I am going to start a small delcuttering (some not so small) project everyday for the month in hopes that the house will be more easily managed and by the time that March comes around and spring cleaning is in the air the bigger projects can be done easily.
Day 1- Master Bathroom Closet. I have tubs and boxes everywhere and clothes all over the place. Now it is pretty and I will post pictures when it is done.
Day 2- Kids' Closet(s). Time to pack away those too small clothes and eliminate the ones they will never wear. They should not have 40 outfits there is just no reason for it. Pack up those old/too small shoes while we are at it.
Day 3- Kitchen drawers. Most of my drawers have become junk drawers time to throw away all those old papers, spare parts and not sure if they still work batteries.
Day 4- Medicine cabinet. Get rid of those expired drugs and restock what is needed. Wipe the shelves and sanitize the neutralizer.
Day 5- Kitchen junk cabinet- No need in having 4 million old magazines.
Day 6- Kids' cabinet- Throw out the no lid sippy cups (okay really I did that today but...) Gid rid of what doesn't belong and wipe out.
Day 7- Pantry.
Day 8- Half bath drawers.
Day 9- Kids' Bathroom Drawers
Day 10- Master Bathroom Cabinets
Day 11- Master Bathroom Drawers
Day 12- Laundry Room/ Cleaning Supplies
Day 13- Kitchen Gadget Drawer
Day 14- Coat Closet
Day 15- The day we are celebrating valentines... so I'm taking it off!
Day 16- Under Our Bed
Day 17- Linen Closet
Day 18- Bed Room Desk
Day 19- Bookshelf. Get rid of all the damaged books
Day 20- Little Boys Toy Box
Day 21- Half of the tubs of clothes in Kaden's room (I've been storing in there it's terrible isn't it.
Day 22- My birthday so I'm off!
Day 23- Kaden's Toy Box
Day 24- Other Half of the Tubs
Day 25- Our Drawers
Day 26- The Van. I know it is supposed to be the house but geez my car is a wreck too!
Day 27- Our Blanket Closet
Day 28- Make list for spring cleaning
I will be using a system with 3 piles: keep, donate/yard sale, and toss. I am using a general rule of thumb of if I'm not sure that I need to keep it, if it has not been used in over 6 months it is gone.
Will you join me in a cleaning spree?

All you need is:
1 box chicken broth
2 chicken bouillon cubes
4 chicken tenders
2 cans carrots
3-6 cans biscuit dough
Boil chicken in broth and bouillon. Take chicken out add biscuit dough ripped into pieces. Dice chicken add to pot with the carrots and wait until Dumplins are cooked. I like to add rosemary, thyme and bay leaves as well as garlic powder or garlic salt. These are great love them.
