Today has been a busy day. The boys are getting sick and I wanted to hit the cold off at pass. So, I made a batch of Apple butter with garlic cloves in it. Then made pancakes. I made three dozen so that we can freeze them. Then I took to Pinterest, to learn how to organize my dresser (pictures to come later). I have done 7 loads of laundry and 2 loads of dishes. Cleaned the little boys room. Now to clean the pantry.

I am so excited! For years, I have wanted a garden of my own. I love the thought of raising and picking my own food. I really love the idea of fixing up the yard and making the house look a lot better. Well this year is the year that I am going to do just that! I have just started my seedlings and am waiting for them to sprout and get ready for transplanting into the actual garden. I am working on getting 5 gallon buckets to use as pots and to use to make compost. I am very interested in learning more about gardening and sort of pioneer living if you will. I want to learn to garden, sew, can and be self sufficient.
This year I will be growing:
- Bell Peppers
- Variety of Herbs
Today, we laid one of our dear, sweet friends to rest. He died unexpectantly on Friday morning. It has been a rough road for his friends and family who loved him dearly. My husband was the officer that called all the other officers to attention. I know this was hard on him after having to do so his best friends service in Iraq. My heart is broken but I know that he will be waiting on me to get there when my time comes. I am comforted by the promise that all Christians will reunited in heaven.
Until then my sweet,funny buddy...

So I haven't been able to keep up with the February Purge Challenge due to snow days. With all the snow in my area I have been stuck at work or at my moms. Today is my day off so I decided to take charge of my house and tame the mess. I have organized all the closets, finished all the laundry, sorted all the boxes of clothes for the boys that are out of season or not the right size. I am about to make dinner and clean out the pantry. Then, tomorrow, is Eythan's late birthday party. Poor kid between the flu hitting our family and all these snow days his party is one month late.

First of all I have to express my love for Wonder Hangers. They are so amazing. I had to try them. Most things I see on TV and have tried were the biggest let downs EVER, but not Wonder Hangers. These space saving hangers are also life savers! We have very little storage space in our house, especially in our closet. As a matter of fact our second attic is in our closet and because of the tight space we have not been able to use the attic. We can now access it and plan on using it as a storage "room" for stockpile/couponing items! I could not afford to spend any money on them at the time, so to Swagbucks I went! That's right I just used my amazon gift cards and bought 20 Wonder Hangers. I reordered using Swagbuck and they should arrive this week. YAY! I am so excited.
1. Wonder Hangers are a must!
2. Swagbucks is fricking amazing!
3. Earn many many swagbucks

Okay, so I am posting this late, but had a hot date with my hubby last night and couldn't get on here. After going through the never ending mountain of clothes that had fallen in the floor, the box of coupons that expired in August (yes, I am horrible because I love my coupons), the random sentimental crap that was in there for no reason. I managed to make my closet pretty and managed to get 2 boxes yard sale stuff and 1 trash bags full of things out of my closets. It is now usable! I still am going to be looking into more organizing ideas.
